 Amy has been certified as a postpartum doula by DONA International since 2004, helping over 55 babies and their families during the postpartum period. In 2005, she also obtained certification as a Lactation Counselor through The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. For both of these certifications she is required to obtain continuing education which helps her to keep current on the latest issues related to postpartum needs and breastfeeding techniques/studies. Amy provides mentoring to doulas all throughout the country and beyond as a member of the DONA International Postpartum Doula Certification Committee. She has an extensive background working with young children and infants which includes a Bachelor's Degree from Southern Vermont College in 1999 in Childcare Management.
