How My Doula Services Work: ~One FREE 1 hour "meet and greet" consultation in your home. This gives you an opportunity to get to know me and ask questions about doula care. ~As many additional prenatal appointments as desired can be set up at a flat rate. This can be a great time to create a postpartum plan for your family. Doula Care Payment Options: I accept cash or personal checks. My hourly rate is $20/hr. It is important to me that every family who desires a doula is able to have one. If you have special financial situations I also offer Barter or Payment Plans. Please inquire about this when you contact me. I do not charge for mileage or driving time, only the hours we spend together. I work in 3-6 hour shifts
depending upon how much care per day you would like. Postpartum Consultations Payment Options: I accept cash or personal checks. My fee is $45-50 for up to a 1.5hr. consultation Flexible Spending Accounts: Doula services qualify to be used as pre-tax dollars through many employer's benefits policies. Please inquire within the human resources department of your company to see if this applies to you. This can mean quite a bit of savings on the cost of doula care if your company has this kind of flexible spending account. Gift Certificates: Are available, please inquire about this when you call. They make great shower gifts or baby presents. Insurance Companies: I am a Certified Postpartum Doula and Certified Lactation Counselor. I have obtained a NPI (National Provider Identifier). This will enable you to begin billing your insurance company for reimbursement of postpartum doula care. It does not guarantee coverage, but it will let the companies know that families are desiring this kind of reimbursement.
