"Tender Care Doula Services were
the best gift I could imagine after giving birth to my second child. Amy's loving care, attention and
assistance were invaluable in the weeks after the birth as we transitioned.
Always gentle, compassionate, and willing to lend a hand, she helped
provide the space we needed as we welcomed our new baby." ~ Mom of two boys, Albany, NY |

“Thank you so much for your services, I really can't say enough about
what you offered us as new parents. Having someone who comes to your
house and has so much experience and knowledge, really helps to put my
mind at ease. The transition into parenthood in those first few weeks
was rough at times, and knowing you were coming to help give me a break,
answer some questions and talk issues through, helped a ton. For myself
learning slowly what it takes to be a parent in those first few weeks,
adjusting to the responsibility needed, the needs of the baby, and the
maintenance rhythms you need to get into. It helped me to have you
there. Thank you for slowly and gently nudging me in the right
direction when needed. I think of you every time I put the date, time
and amounts on my breast pumped glass bottles. Having you help us, was
one of the best things we did as new parents.”

"Not only did Amy come to my aid during a very difficult postpartum
period, she has consistently been there for me via phone and email with
ongoing postpartum and breastfeeding questions and issues. Amy was a
tremendous help to me and I would (and do!) recommend her to anyone!"

"Amy provides truly beautiful care of babies. Based on my experience
working with Amy following the births of our two daughters, I recommend
her care and services (and advice and warmth and love and skills) VERY
highly. In fact, hire her immediately! I guarantee she'll bring so much
to you and your baby during an overwhelming and confusing and
joyful-beyond-belief time."

"Amy was a godsend after the birth of our son. I consider her calm
guidance critical to my breast-feeding success. She was also a great
comfort as I processed the birth - being able to retell the experience
to someone outside the family was incredibly helpful and therapeutic (I
had an emergency C-section). In those early days after I came home, just
knowing Amy was coming calmed me down. And I even got to sleep for an
hour or two, which believe me, made everyone in the house feel better."

"After learning that we were expecting another "surprise" baby shortly
after welcoming our first daughter into the world, my husband and I knew
we were going to need some help with the postpartum transition. I had a
terrible case of postpartum depression with our first daughter, and was
terrified that it would recur with our second child. I contacted Amy
in my second trimester and explained all of my fears to her including
the postpartum depression as well as previous problems breast feeding.
Amy was informative, supportive and reassuring. During my second
trimester, we contracted Amy to work with us for a few weeks following
our daughter's birth. I truly believe that once that was in place, I
could relax with the rest of the pregnancy, knowing I'd have some help
with my 16 month old and newborn. Amy was just great. She was
efficient, helpful and kind. She helped with breast feeding, allowed me
to sleep and rest, accompanied me to pediatrician visits. cooked
healthy meals, did newborn and baby laundry and gave me an overall
feeling of relief that I could bond with my newborn and still provide
the attention that my older child desperately needed. I highly
recommend the postpartum services that Amy provides. Should we have
additional children, I would seek her expertise again in an instant."

"Amy was an incredibly important part of my postpartum experience with
my son. Parents often wish for a handbook to accompany their new baby.
Amy is like that handbook and so much more. Her attention and care for
the new family is personal, respectful and empowering. The first
days and weeks with your new baby, whether your 1st or your 5th, are
special and irreplaceable. Having Amy's gentle guidance and helpful
presence made all the difference in my ability to relax and enjoy the
"babymoon" period. I couldn't recommend anyone more highly, nor think
of money better spent."
